Baby season!

We are in the midst of a baby boom among our friends. As I have written before, I love love love newborns. It is such a joy to watch our friends’ families grow. We go way back with this crew, and were thrilled to meet their newest addition last week. What a lovely quartet of kiddos! Congrats!

What time? Time for me to fly this coop and wander off into the sunset for a bit. And of course I do NOT know anyone who would let her precious baby boys jump off of dangerously high rocks or crawl in the chilly surf. ahem…cough…cough. I will be putting my feet up and taking a break with my family until the 19th. See you then!

Vacation!

It was such a treat to get a call from these families again. I took their photos 2 years ago when they vacationed in Sandbridge, and was flattered that they called when they were heading back to town. I am impressed with their planning to sneak nice clothes and a photo session into the midst of a week of beach fun. These boys have gotten BIG in 2 years. We managed to laugh a ton, get very wet and sandy by the end, and catch some great photos in the meantime. I hope the rest of your vacation was a blast!

Red, White, Blue and Love

This session was truly a treat for me. As a Navy vet myself and a Navy wife, military homecomings hold a dear place in my heart. This one was extra special since this dashing pilot is the little brother of one of our very best friends. He returned from over 6 months away defending the freedoms we all enjoy, to his lovely wife and growing first baby. As if homecoming isn’t exciting enough, it was his first time seeing his wife’s baby “bump.” What a moment! I am so excited for them to soak up being back together, and to count down to becoming a family of three. Plus, jets are undeniably cool…aren’t they? Welcome home!

Another reason to love squadrons: they think of everything including flowers for the ladies!

This little man was an absolute joy to photograph. He was all laughs and giggles, and his bright smile lights up every image. We played and joked our way around the beach. I was thrilled his mom had him bring along his treasured monster truck. Aside from the fact that a favorite toy is soothing to the kiddo, I think there is something really fun about capturing the time in your child’s life when they so loved their (insert appropriate toy for your child!). As I see every day with my own boys, a child’s interests pass quickly as they grow. I love catching those phases in print. If nothing else, the photo with their treasured lovey can make a fun appearance in their wedding slideshow! A big good luck to this big guy as he starts first grade!

I admire couples who keep their weddings in step with their life. This striking duo had the best ceremony I have seen in a while. They filled the beach (which had been conveniently cleared by Mother Nature) with their love, family and friends. With a gorgeous, rolling ocean as their backdrop, they thoroughly enjoyed the exciting start to their new phase of life. Their love was fun to watch, and will carry them far. Congrats, and thanks for such a fun time!

Sisters and a little man

This family was a LOT of fun. The lovely big sisters had me giggling my way through the session, while their little brother charmed me endlessly. It was fun to watch them all laugh and play together. I think it is safe to say that the little man has everyone wrapped around his finger. What a beautiful crew!

This beautiful crew assembled in town to enjoy July 4th together. We strolled over to the beach to capture the fun of everyone being in one place. Like I’ve said before, I am always impressed by the families that make time to take photos of multiple generations together. These adorable grandbabes made my job easy. What a treasure to have photos of them together. They are only going to be more and more fun as the years pass!

What screams SUMMERTIME more than some watermelon on a hot day? This mom picked the best outfits to capture her adorable kiddos enjoying a summer evening one last time before they moved away from the beach. (Mom also made the beautiful quilt in the background–wow!) We had a fun time running around and snapping some photos. I hope you all are settling in well after your move to the big city!

This couple is heading for marriage in September. We couldn’t resist an engagement session to set the mood. They were so comfortable together, it made things easy. I can’t wait for the wedding!
